THE FRENCH TEAM has a gala of stars from various European clubs well as other famous leagues, the most notable is Karim Benzema from Real Madrid.the other notable player is from FC Barcelona that is Thiery Henry.And from another notable league is F.Ribery Bayern Munich.The current champions of European Champions league is Barcelona,but the former champions are Manchester United and from this Club comes P Evra, a defender by nature but likes to fly down the flanks like a forward.Another notable player from a Big club is Florent Malouda.
WORLD CUP QUALIFYING FORM:
The French Team struggled in the qualifying rounds but made the cut with emphatic wins against Faroe Islands and Austria.But the loses against Nigeria, a good team but France were expected to win against these minnows of the footballing world but they disappointed many.Although Nigeria game was a friendly it showed France's weak form with African teams.They even lost to Spain in a friendly match by two goals.But with the stars that they have in the team qualifying was not a problem.They somehow qualified with a somewhat controversial goal by their most capped player Thiery Henry.
QUALIFIER AGAINST NORTHERN IRELAND:
FRANCE were drawn against Northern Ireland for a final place in the world cup last 32.The first leg ended in a draw which was termed as fair result for the French team, because the second leg was to played at the Stade de France, the french teams home turf.The match went on at a slow pace when the score was again level.But it was that day for the Northern Ireland team and they succumbed to a late but controversial goal by Thierry Henry.At first glance it looked like a hand ball but it was proved that the player used his hand to tap the ball in.but the goal stood and France went on to qualify for the world cup 2010.Heart break for Northern Ireland but nothing could be done.

France are not the favourites for this years World cup 2010 but they may cause some surprises in the group stage and enter the round of 16.But further I don't think they will make it to the Semifinal.
